HTX exchange rotates wallets every few hours to evade sanctions — TRM Labs

TRM Labs specialists reported that HTX rotates hot wallets and deposit addresses across four blockchains.

TRM Labs specialists reported that HTX rotates hot wallets and deposit addresses across TRON, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana to avoid sanctions compliance analysis.

HTX was pushed to these steps by UK authorities, which imposed restrictions on Huobi Global S.A. in May due to alleged support for Russian organizations evading sanctions.

HTX excludes the use of addresses every few hours. This practice turns the platform's on-chain traces into a constantly moving target, making tracking with traditional tools difficult.

TRM Labs proposed using behavior-based attribution, which allows detecting and linking new wallets to sanctioned entities based on on-chain activity rather than static lists.

An HTX representative called these actions routine security operations and categorically rejected any contrary claims.
